Design, Production, and Testing of Cast Iron Products for Infrastructure (1 PDH)
Speaker: Caleb Gabler, Neenah Foundry
Caleb Gabler, Northeast Region Engineer at Neenah Foundry, will discuss the importance of cast iron in
infrastructure. The session will cover design principles, advanced production techniques, and rigorous
testing protocols, focusing on durability, load ratings, proof loads, and performance-based design with
modern technology.
Brownfields Redevelopment: Funding, Grants, and Remediation Strategies in New Jersey (1 PDH)
Speakers: Tyler Martz, LSRP, Manager of Environmental, French & Parrello Associates
Alex Saltzman, LSRP, Senior PM – Environmental, French & Parrello Associates
Josephine O'Grady, Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund (HDSRF) Coordinator, NJDEP
Tyler Martz and Alex Saltzman, along with Josephine O’Grady from NJDEP, will discuss Brownfields,
redevelopment areas, and funding opportunities, including the NJDEP Green Acres Program and the
Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund. The session will conclude with a case study and a Q&A.
Transforming Water Treatment: Innovative Solutions for Emerging Contaminants (1 PDH)
Speaker: Stephanie Cuthbert, P.E., C.M.E., Principal & Executive Vice President Water & Wastewater
Division, Remington & Vernick Engineers, INC.
Stephanie Cuthbert will highlight how the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission addressed
emerging contaminants at the Woodbine Avenue facility using Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) with
UV light and hydrogen peroxide, along with Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) to treat PFOA, PFOS, and
1,4-dioxane.
Reducing Energy Costs with State and Utility Incentive Programs (1 PDH)
Presenters: Greg Reinert, Outreach Manager, NJ’s Clean Energy Program
TBD, PSE&G Outreach Manager
This session will cover how local governments can improve energy efficiency through New Jersey’s Clean
Energy Program and utility company incentives. Topics include the Local Government Energy Audit
(LGEA) program and available financial incentives to promote energy savings and sustainability.
