ENGINEERING ASSISTANT (Full-Time 35 Hrs/Week | Borough of Florham Park, Morris County)
Borough of Florham Park is seeking an experienced Engineering Assistant to assist the Borough Engineer. Candidate should have 5 years of relevant municipal engineering, consulting engineering or contractor project management experience with a strong background in construction inspection of site work; technical review of site plans, surface grading plans, zoning plans, tree removal permits, surveys and deeds; as well as being able to deal with the public and work well with co-workers. Experience with water and sewer utilities is desired. Preferred education is a 4-year Engineering degree from an accredited university or a similar combination of education and work experience. Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to write clear and concise emails and reports, and be organized to maintain electronic and hardcopy files. Computer proficiency required; AutoCAD experience preferred. This position has a mix of office and field work. Starting salary: $75,000 with sick, personal, vacation and holiday pay.
