Continuing Education
NJSME supports the ongoing training and professional development of municipal engineers while also reaching out to raise awareness of our profession with civil engineering students and faculty throughout New Jersey and around the region. Our continuing education is designed for practicing municipal engineers and their staff to enhance their knowledge and skills while earning Professional Development Hours or PDHs required to maintain professional engineering licensure in New Jersey. We also help connect engineers looking for jobs with municipalities and firms looking to hire.
General Membership Meetings
Continuing education is an essential part of every meeting of the NJSME. There are four general membership meetings each year and as part of each meeting, we provide continuing education on topics of interest to our members. There is typically a two-hour presentation in the morning and another in the afternoon following lunch.
The NJ State League of Municipalities Conference, held annually in Atlantic City, provides another opportunity for members to earn PDHs. NJSME will occasionally partner with other professionals, such as Municipal Attorneys, Purchasing Agents, etc. to provide seminars on topics of mutual concern.
